In Haiti, Jean-Michel Lapin turns into interim Prime Minister.

After a movement of no confidence in opposition to the federal government earlier this week, Haitian President Jovenel Moïse on Thursday appointed Jean-Michel Lapin as interim prime minister.

Jean-Michel Lapin, till now Minister of Tradition and Communication in Haiti, was appointed interim prime minister on Thursday, March 21, by President Jovenel Moses, when a brand new cupboard was established.

The Chamber of Deputies voted on Monday for the departure of the federal government headed till now by Jean-Henry Céant. His place was weakened by the current demonstrations that resulted in a number of deaths.

"The issues of schooling, well being, security, excessive value of dwelling are the duty of the state, which requires the participation of all of the ministers (…) participation of civil society," stated Jean-Michel Lapin on Thursday.

Elections in October
