VOIP Service & Virtual Phone Business
What is VOIP
VOIP is a buzzing word in the current communication field and the full form of VOIP is “VoiceOver Internet Protocol”. VOIP is the transmission of voice and multimedia content by using different Internet Protocol (IP) networks. Previously VOIP meant to connect private branch exchanges using different Internet Protocols but currently, VOIP does not mean just to create connections between private branch exchanges but the term is now widely used to define the interchangeability of connection related to the telephone system based on Internet Protocols.
A modern implementation of technology makes it possible to deliver voice communications over the internet and that is how VOIP works. VOIP includes desktop VOIP phones, virtual phone applications which run on PCs and mobile devices and VOIP enabled browsers.

How VOIP works
VOIP converts audio into the form of virtual data packets and then transmits the data packets into an IP network and then it reconverts the data packets back into audio form. So the user can hear the audio form which has been sent but in the middle, it takes the form of data packets which is invisible for both the users. VOIP reduces telephone service and setup costs and eliminates the use of circuit-switched networks. It makes it possible for the network providers to deliver voice services over the broadband and private networks.
VOIP Protocols and Standards
VOIP uses standard codecs to convert the audio into data packets and to be more specific, it uses International Standard Union (ITU) standard codecs such as G.711, which is the standard for transmitting uncompressed packets and G.729 which is the standard for transmitting compressed packets. Once the audio format is converted into data packets, it is usually transmitted with the Real-Time Transport Protocol (RTP).
There are two main types of VOIP telephones one is software-based and the other one is hardware based. Software-based IP phones are software clients usable from any computer or mobile devices. These kinds of software have the option to make a voice call using the data plan. So it will make a phone call happen between two persons virtually and will eliminate the actual phone cost for you. On the other hand, hardware-based VOIP phone looks like a regular wired or wireless phone set and includes the similar features just like the regular phone.
Virtual Phone Number
What a Virtual Phone Number is a virtual telephone number which can forward any incoming calls to the pre-set actual telephone numbers chosen by the client. Generally, virtual phone numbers are used for long-distance communications to avoid long distance charges. Users of virtual numbers can make their calls from their existing phones without the need of buying any additional hardware related devices. It plays the role of a gateway between traditional calls and VOIP. So, Virtual Phone Number is not related to a directly associated telephone line.
What is VOIP Business?
VOIP business is the business which is based on the profit of international voice traffic. The conversion of international calls into local calls is what VOIP business is based on. The profit of this business is actually the difference between local call cost and international call cost.
The system automatically accepts international calls from all over the world and converts them into local calls and then transmits to the expected user in a selected region.
